11 Random Things

*11 RANDOM THINGS ABOUT MYSELF*

1. I have a secret obsession with hair. I don't think it shows, but I kind of express myself through my hair. I always like trying new things, being the same for too long bugs me. Plus I feel as if I wont be able to live on the edge when I'm older, you cant pull it off as easy.
2. I am going to turn 28 in July, just 2 years shy of 30, and I'm kind of scared. I don't want to get old. If I could, I would stay young forever, like 25 years old.
3. I am a huge grudge holder(I come by it naturally, its in my blood) I have been told by many many people, it's not worth it, this I know. It highly depends on the situation, I can forgive, but never forget. We all go through tough times in life, and I tend to hang on to the times that hurt me most, and I would like revenge. Bad bad bad I know.
4. I dislike red vehicles. I just think they are ugly. I have liked 2 red trucks, Tyler's and Cam's, but It's also one of my least favorite colors.
5. I like to visit a "psychic" yearly. Cole thinks its bull crap, but I like to know a few things. Not to much though. Sometimes I hear things I don't want too, and some things I could care less about.
6 I had an imaginary friend. This is true. I think I had her from about when I was 2 1/2 to about 6. Her name was cherleech, we had some good times together.
7. I want a tattoo. I have always wanted one, but am afraid I wont like it one day.
8. I hate velvet. It give me the chills when I touch it.
9. I LOVE laundry soap. I love the smell so much I could eat/drink it. The powder kind I can put it my hand and just smell it. Kind of creepy huh.
10. I am addicted to Coke/Pepsi. I think I can consider this serious because I cant quit drinking it.

The 11 Questions I was Asked......
--What did you want to be when you grew up? Why did/didn't that happen? A doctor. I wanted to help sick kids. Obviously I'm not a doctor, even though I think I am. As I got older, I lost the love for school and didn't want to go.
--What are you most proud of yourself for? I have been a cheer coach for 11 years, and its mostly volunteer, I was paid for two years, maybe enough to cover my gas in my car, I'm proud cause I feel like I'm giving back to the community. I try to be a good example to young girls at very hard stage in their life, which is Jr.High, you get know these girls on another level and watch them grow in many ways that a lot of their parents don't.
--What is one of your deepest fears? Losing a child, my life would never be the same.
--What is your strongest ambition in life? To live my life with no regrets, and knowing I tried my hardest to do the same for my family.
--If you were to die today, what would you want people to say about you at your funeral? This is one of those things I don't like to think about, but I would hope they could say I was a good friend, and that I was an inspiration to many, I would like to be remembered as someone that was always there for you, and I would do anything for anyone if I could, and that I made people smile.
--What is your favorite vacation spot? Why? Lake Powell. I have a lot of great memories with my family and friends there. One day my kids will too.
--What was your favorite animal as a young kid? what is it now? A dog. Still is. I have a love for all animals, I own 3 dogs and I love them like they are my kids.
--Who do you trust more than anyone else in this world? My parents. They have always been there for me no matter what, and love me for who I am. If Im chosing 1 person, its my Dad.
--If you had to choose to lose a sense, which one would it be? Smell.
--What feelings do you have when you think of the future? All kinds. I'm excited to see what my kids become, and also me and Cole. I don't want to think of being old, or losing my parents, friends, family. The circle of life isn't fair right?
--What is your favorite type of therapy? Sitting in my bath tub for 20 minutes so I can take a deep breath with out having to do a dang thing. Life is crazy!

Not A Good Day!

Well, here is how it started. A couple weeks ago I told Cole, ”everytime I hit a bump sonething is cluncking around” but of course not when he is in the vehicle. Sunday afternoon, he went off road in some mud and was hiding behind a huge dirt mound from jake, (who know's if it has anything to do with it) and covered the whole underneath of my car in some serious mud. Monday I sprayed it off, but not really good. Tuesday, took Lundyn to school and turned the corner, and it felt like my brake was grinding or something wild, so again I put a call into Cole and he tells me, ”just dont drive it then, its probably frozen mud or something stupid” okay. Wednesday, (which is today) I get a text this morning, I looked at the front tire, (where I thought the sound was from) and got the mud out, take it to firehouse and have it washed. Well friends this is what I was going to do. Left my house, (still grinding) stopped to get Mandee, as we were backing up, we suddenly, yes suddenly came to a jerking stop, so I thought ”sun of a ”b”, I hit something. Well wont go forward, wont go back, so get out and that is what I see. But people, this is what I get, ”wtf I told you not to drive it” suddenly this is my fault cause I told him the front. Well folks, did he get what was coming to him. Yes, this is what is called, A Series Of Unfortunate Events that clearly could have been avoided if he would have listened to me the first time. Yes people, I am always right!

Lundyn's Last Cheer Competition This Year

Saturday was Lundyn's last cheer competition for the season, she has come so far! She loves it so much. There are so many people who think I ”make” her do it because I did. for one, I was never an all-star cheerleader, I danced from 3-14, and then chose to cheer for 1 year in Jr. High and then High School. Its become a whole different world since then. This is clearly not the case. She has just been around it since she wad born due to my coaching, and when she finally turned 5 she was able to do it. She is definitely a natural, if she learns a new trick she practices until perfect, same with her dance. She gets to move up a team next season, Im so excited to see what other improvements she will make, Rythymm also gets to start next season, so we are very excited to see them shake there booties!

Potty Training....Blah!

Well I finally broke down and did it. Thursday the 16th was the night. Night you ask? Well Miss Rymo has been taking her diaper off for awhile, and finally I was just sick of it, so I told her, ”ok go get some pannies on!” And that she did. I was thinking she was going to be hard, only cause she is a little harder than Lundyn was at this age. So i decided to try what worked on Lundyn first, and if that didnt i would move something else. So i just took her in to go potty every 20-30minutes, and here we are a week later and she is all done! I dont like the idea of pull ups because I think it confuses them, so we haven't looked back. We just have to make sure she doesnt drink anything much past 8pm so she doesnt pee the bed. shweew! No more buying diapers for two! Yay rymo! Im so proud of you!

Rythymm's 1st Bloody Nose!

Well, it finally happened, I can easily say this, cause she is accident prone. We have been so lucky that she doesn't have, or had any broken limbs(knock on wood!)

Bloody nose, here is how it happened..... Got up on the counter to get some M&M's, got down fine, but as she was walking, mysteriously tripped on something, didnt catch herself, I mean heaven forbid letting go of some candy, and fell right to her face on the hardwood floor.

How bad was she hurt you ask? Hardly at all, she was more worried about the blood on her hands, and all over her night gown, very upset that she had to take it off. The story has a happy ending....She had another princess gown to put on, her nose stopped bleeding pretty quick, considering both nostrils were bleeding, and I got the blood out of the gown. And.......she survived!

Valentine's Day!

The girls sure loved it this year, although I kind of miss how we did it when we were little, take your friends valentine's to the door, ring the bell and hide, or this very well could have been my neighborhood thing. Either way, the girls took theirs to school and had fun. Cupid left new shoes and chocolate for them also, they thought that was pretty cool.

As for the last week, Lundyn had strep throat, I had to get a root canal in my front tooth, Rythymm got a bloody nose, Cole got his yearly Dumont trip canceled, due to work, its a touchy subject, and poor Kuli has bronchitis, which is better than RSV. Him and I have sure had some long nights, especially with 102°fevers, coughing, and im sure a sore throat, but he's on the road to feeling better. Let's hope for a better week this week!

My Kuli Buli & His Dang Ears

My little handsome fellow here with a messy face, cant win for nothin. 6 weeks ago he got tubes put in his ears, and he did amazing. My poor little guy had a horrible infection in both ears and I didn't even know. So anti-biotic #1 was started for 10 days, and did no good, #2 was started for another 10 days, and got worse. So a 3 day shot was started, and what do you know, even worse. So..... the left ear that seems to keep causing problems, was extremely infected. They suctioned all the infection and pus out when they put the tubes in. He recovered very well, as most do. He had them done at Primary Children's, so it gave me a little peace at mind, seeing that he was only 6 months and being put to sleep.

On Friday we went in just to check his ears and be sure there was no more infection. They first did a hearing test, his right ear passed, left did not. At this point we aren't sure if it's permanently hearing loss, or just the way the tube settled on the ear drum. In 8 weeks he has to go back and have the same tests done again. Just when I thought those dang things were doing so well, but nothing serious I'm told, I'm only believing this because this doctor was awarded top 25 E.N.T's in Utah, so I have faith in him for now.

Lundyn's Cheer Competiton

This was at the Sandy Expo Center on January 21st, she was so excited she got a metal she couldn't even stand it, as you can see the smile on her face. She is one of the best girls on the team, and right up front! She doesn't even get scared infront of the HUGE crowd. This one wasn't really fair the category they got put in, they competed against 8-9 year olds, there was 8 teams and they took 6th(but we told her she took 1st) but considering the age difference they did awesome!
Lundyn's 1st competition January 14th at Cottonwood High School. She was a little nervous the night before, but she did awesome! They place 1st! Woot Woot! She rocked it up, especially minutes before she went on they had to change her spot in a few parts because someone didn't show up, and she performed like she always did it that way. She loves this business and she is so good!

Rythymm's 1st Day of Pre-School!

Although she isn't potty trained, and not quite 3, Aunt Jennifer let her come. She was so excited she couldn't stand it, she was telling me bye before we even stopped! Not 1 tear like I thought she would have, and when I picked her up she wanted to stay.

She gets to go two times a week, and that just isn't quite enough, she puts her back pack on every day when we take Lundyn and wants to go(for now). Her diaper wearing days are coming to an end very soon,(I hope) and she will no longer be my baby. Cheers to Pre-School!

January 2012!

One of the things I would like to do this year is update my blog at least once a month. Just incase life passes me by on this Im posting right now.

Rythymm got to start pre-school this week! No still not potty trained, but Jennifer is kind enough to let her come. At first I didn't think she would take it so well, but to my surprise, she ran in and just told me "bye Mom!" And when i went to pick her up, she didn't want to come home, she'd rather stay. Today she went the second time, and she was telling me bye before the car was stopped. She is growing up before my very eyes, and it's kind of hard for me to take in.
I say this because we always in some way are wishing they would grow up so you can do this or that, but I can honestly say it makes me sad to see that Lundyn is 5 1/2 and Rythymm 2 1/2, Kuli 6 months, and I am 27 1/2? What? when they are getting older it means I am too. I look back at pictures, and oh buddy more times than not, I get a little teary eyed. So I tell myself, "Chin up" I have the future to look forward to, and to see what my little ones become.
Saturday, which is the 14th, Lund-o-bean has her first cheer competition with the TNT Sparklers, her little uniform is so dang cute, and when she is all dressed up, she has the attitude to go with it, I will for sure have to post pictures of this event after it takes place. So far almost 2 weeks in, 2012 is a good one.

A few Highlights Of 2011

The Year 2011!

As we creep up on the end of the year 2011, I cant help but think of what a great year has been for us Kaplar's. The good definitely out weighs the bad. Of course at the beginning of the year, Mom opened a new flower/gift shop in Kamas, and its been so much fun learning how to be somewhat of a "florist" and sharing great bonding times with Mom, Mandee, and myself, we shared lots of laughs.

Of course the boat business was slow for the winter/spring months, but we managed. We only made it to the dunes once this year, that was on Easter, but it was a good time had by all. By this time May came up so fast, and Cole tried a new thing, Finishing water slides. Of course that didn't last long, considering who he was partnering with, we basically lost a good portion of money to it, and I am sure we can all imagine how happy I was about this. On a better note it got got us through the summer.
In May, suddenly Cole decided we were going to move, really with no place in mind, so in 3 days we packed and moved. We lived in the trailer at Grandma Maag's house for about 5 weeks. Mind you I was due in 7. It wasn't to bad for the first week, then I started to get a little stir crazy. Having to do laundry at my mom and dads house once a week, and basically eating out everyday and night, and all the kids toys being packed away got to me quick. So my dad found a place in Oakley, and I said OK! We are in. didn't really give Cole a chance, so we moved.
On June 26, 2011, we had our 1st baby boy, but also baby #3. He has been such a blessing in all our lives. He has definitely been my easiest baby by far, and its a good thing, because little lady Rythymm isn't such an easy 2 year old. Having three kids is hard, and took some time adjusting to it. I will be the first to admit, I feel like pulling my hair out most days. This isn't because I cant handle having 3, it's because the ones I have tend to make me crazy. I have considered becoming a closet drinker ha ha. But I wouldn't change any of it for the world. I love my kiddo's and they make me smile, even make my bad days better by hearing them laugh or seeing them smile.
This year Lundyn started Kindergarten! She was so excited she couldn't stand it. When I took her to school the first day, she was so proud. But when I went to walk to the car I cried, I think it was tears of joy to have her gone for a few hours, (jk) I was sad cause I cant believe how fast they grow, and how old I am getting. It was even harder the next day when she got on the bus and waved as they drove away. Everything seemed to be going well, until school day #3 when she didn't get off the bus outside my house. I remained calm, called my mom at the store and asked her to go to the school, mostly cause she was just a block away. I called the school, nope she definitely got on the bus, she just didn't get off. A few minutes later the bus garage called me and said the driver didn't realize she was on, and would be there shortly. When Lundyn got there I asked her why she didn't get off and this was her reply: "The bus driver called for Linden, and that's not my name mom! They said we cant get out of our seat unless they say our name!" I felt bad for her, but wanted to laugh, needless to say, she wouldn't ride the bus for a few days after.
Labor day weekend, our friends graced us with there presents by camping in our back yard. It was a site to see, but we sure had fun, we even made shirts for everyone. That's the thing about our friends. We have such a good time together, lots of fun memories, pictures, and laughs. We are lucky to have a great friend circle, I don't think it's like most that's for sure. The guys drink more than what is a healthy limit, but they enjoy themselves, while the girls gossip mostly and make fun of each and what not.
Before we knew it October was here, and me and Cole decided it was best that he find a new job, the boat/fiberglass world wasn't working anymore. I think we all know why if anyone has ever herd me bitch about how much I hated it and and even more so his dad. I can say this because it isn't any secret. I just couldn't handle it anymore. So all within this month, he did some barricade work, concrete, mobile homes, and last but not least, Jaco. This wasn't supposed to be perminate, but it has turned out to be a great thing. He takes good care of us, and we couldn't be happier. Jake even calls Cole his "side kick"
At this time, we decided we were moving back to Lehi. This was a really a hard thing for because, I had gotten comfortable living in Oakley, and Lundyn with school too. I became really close with my mom, and she helped so much with my kids. But it had to be done for work. I cried, but new everything would be OK, and it is. Lundyn had a hard time adjusting to a new school mid year, but she is doing well now. I miss it up there a lot, but it's nice to be back on good ol' Lehi.
Christmas has come gone so quickly, yet with no snow. I was sad about this cause it just didn't seem like the season, but like I can change that. The kids had a great Christmas from everyone, and we even had Sam the elf at our home, I wish there was one that stayed year round or something, my kids tried harder to be good ha ha. Cole gave me a Vanity, I have always wanted one, and had my big family picture blown up and framed, and on December 27, Cole finally broke down and got me a new(to me) Yukon XL Denali, I was so excited I just couldn't handle it. This year is going to be a hard one to live up to, hopefully even better. Bring on 2012!

Cole's Stupid Hobby

This my friends is Cole's new hobby. Dont even consider on complimenting on how "cool" this may be, simply because I hate it. This is all he wants to do..... work on the "BMF" Below is a picture of who drives it.
Yup my friends, this is the redneck that drives the "BMF" give him a wave if you see him pass by!

SuMma TiMe & ThE LiViN's EaSy

The camera was out, and so why not take some pictures! I don't think its obvious the two girls love their brother a whole lot, they just fight over who is going to hold him first, or who can kiss him the longest, or who he looks like the most. But I do know that these three are my world, and I love them very much. I just don't know what I would do with out them=)

RyThYmM TuRnEd 2!

Rythymm Ka' Hulili O' Ka Lani Kaplar turned 2! She is growing right before my eyes! She is definitely living up to the name "terrible 2 yr old." She has a temper you cant believe, and tends to beat on her older sister. But when she is happy, she can make any one's day with her smiling face. She loves her sister Lundyn so much, she wants to do everything she does, including wearing her shoes and clothes. Rythymm loves to play dress up, it doesn't even have to be a princess dress, it can be Lundyn's night gown, and my high heels(the one pair I own). She is in the 87% for her age, and weighs 30lbs. My little brown eyed baby is gonna be a heart breaker one day! Happy Birthday "Rymma" we love love love you so much!

Lundyn Turned 5!

Our Special Guests for the party! Rapunzel (Jessica) and Flyn Rider (Nick)! Lundyn was so excited she came all the way from Disneyland! She painted their faces and sang happy birthday with us! These two coming made the party complete!
All of Lundyn's guest were asked to dress up as their favorite princess! Lundyn got to stop at the Disney store on the way down and pick her a new dress! Since she has pretty much every one, she chose the little mermaid and looked fabulous! Thank you Grandma Kymm!
She got many lovely presents from all who came! So many in fact, I would only let her get them out and play with them one at a time, and even that was overwhelming. Turning 5 was a big deal to Lundyn, because now she can officially go to kindergarten!
This is Lundyn's pal Brook from school, whom she misses very much since we have moved away, but was so excited she came to the party!
This my friends is the famous Lundyn Anella Ahiahi Lani Kaplar, reminding you that her name means "Angel of the evening glow from Heaven" not always is she an angel, but we love her very much indeed. It doesn't seem long ago that it was her I was getting up with at night, and changing her diapers. I secretly get tears in my eyes when I put her to bed because she has gotten so big. Since she turned 5 I will share 5 things about her!

* She may seem tough, but is very sensitive at heart, and has a big one at that!
* She loves barbies and horses, and has probably every single one you can find at a store.
* She tries to act like she doesn't like her sister much, but at the end of the day they are best friends and have soooo much fun together, nothing is better than hearing them giggling.
* She isn't much of a hugger but still needs one, especially when she's sad.
* She isn't a big eater, but sure can pack away the candy, or any kind of a sweet, and of course a coke at any hour!
Happy 5th Birthday Lundo Bean! We Love You to the Moon and Back!

Our Newest Edition!

When I found out I was expecting this little fellow, I was a little upset, but quickly learned to except it. I knew from the begining I must be having a boy because I felt so different from the first two pregnancies. Cole on the other hand was very sure another girl, so the time came to find out and we were 50/50. When the doctor said boy, Cole was instantly sending out a mass text to everyone, and of course I did when we got to the car, and duh, cant forget facebook. Time flew by, before I knew it I had swollen feet, a sore back, and heartburn from hell! But a healthy pregnancy. When I was 32 weeks along we suddenly decided to move away from where I called home my whole life! Good Old Lehi! The house we planned to move to turned out not to be what we wanted, soooo? We were without a home. We had plenty of offers on where we could stay, but we chose to stay in the trailer at Grandma Maags house in Provo. This my friends lasted 4 weeks, doesn't sound too bad? Well for a very stressed out pregnant lady it was far too long. I panicked and basically forced Cole to move to our new home in Oakley,Utah! We moved in and unpacked everything on Saturday June 18th. My dad said to me, "Your gonna have the baby next weekend" nope I said not lucky enough. Well I was wrong. Saturday June 25 we went to the doctor at 10 pm and he stretched my cervix, and off to the hospital I went. From 11:30 pm on to 6:27 am he finally came. All went well, I had to wear Oxygen due to babies heart rate, and a lot of trowing up, but we survived it! Baby Kulia Ikanu'u Keawe Amahi Kaplar was born June 26, 2011 at 6:27 am 7lbs 2oz 19 1/2 inches long. We had a lot of visitors and great gifts! He is such a good baby and super spoiled! We cant really decide who he looks like yet, but we know he has brown eyes like his dad and sister!

Lundyn's Pre-School Graduation

My little lady Lundyn graduated from Pre-School May 25, 2011. She gets to go to kindergarten this next year. I wanted to cry a little during the program, but I was way strong and didn't. At the beginning they sang the National Anthem and Lundyn got to hold the flag. She knew every song, poem, and letter, we are so proud of her! I think when she starts her first day of school I don't know if I can hold back my tears, but I will try!

Our Most Recent Event!

Two of my close cousins got married recently, not to each other of course! Their weddings were 1 week apart, I just didnt get pictures of the first one, how rude is that. The way the weather was working you'd guess they were months apart because it snowed at the first one, luckily it was inside.

The pictures are at wedding #2 which is Jessica and Nick's, it was a lovely event! My ladies were 2 of the 4 flower girls, it was fun and they looked so cute! Although I am 31 weeks pregnant and chubby in the face, I decided I could post a picture of myself because it wasn't a body shot.
This was a fun week, my cousin from Washington drove 16 hours with her two girls, and we did some fun things, like monkey island. It was great seeing her and her girls, since I only see them about once a year.
Since then, May has been kind of crazy for us! I am now at my 33 week mark of pregnancy, all is well, with the exception of my crabbiness. We suddenly decided to move, and by suddenly we packed up without having a "for sure" place to go. We had planned on a house in Peoa, up by my mom and dad, and it turned out to be something older than what we wanted. So as of right now, all our stuff is in Oakley in my parents garage awaiting a home.
On the bright side of things, its saving us some money,(which is always nice) and we are staying in our trailer until we find something. As of right now I'm ok with this, but only for a short amount of time, by this I mean...... I better be moved back in house before this baby comes or I could have fit, and that wont be good for anyone, so Cole is on the look out to save his ass.
Next weekend is Memorial weekend, and all our buddies who have a fun weekend planned, I'm afraid we wont be joining you. I will be helping my mom at the store doing many flower arrangements. Its crazy but fun, and we look back and laugh how long it takes us and think how dumb we are for doing so many...... but that's the business of a flower shop! And that is pretty much all the news I have so far!

6 month Update?

This is our most recent family photo, Easter at the Sand Dunes! Of course. This is what we have done every Easter since me and Cole started dating 8 years ago, and since, spent it with our girls, many close friends and family and enjoy every minute of it!
This little lady Lundyn has grown up so fast! She is my best helper! She has an attitude, but comes by it naturally. She will be 5 soon, and it makes me want to cry how big she is getting. A few new things about her? She loves cheerleading! (Go figure) She loves to dance, and tumble. She can now do her backhandspring by herself! Woot woot! and made the Tiny's All Star Team at TNT. She loves to color and draw pictures for anyone that wants one. Her and her sister are best friends most of the time, and both love to be outside. Today was her kindergarten check-up/ shots. She weighs 38 pounds, and is average size for her age. We love her very much, especially her sense of humor.
As for Cole and I, all is well. We are expecting baby #3 in July, of course, why any other month right? It was a bit of a surprise, Cole was totally fine with the idea, as for me, it took me a while to get used to it. We are excited now, especially because its our first boy. This may be a challenge for me, because I am so used to girls, but I'm sure we will be fine. Cole just had his 26th birthday, and still working for his dad, in which I prefer something different ha ha, ya right. He is an amazing dad, and husband and takes good care of us. He is my best friend most of the time, especially being pregnant, he is more careful haha. We are creeping up on our 6 year anniversary, and loving every minute of it.
My little lady Rythymm, she is soooo much fun. She also had shots today. She did well, she weighs 28 pounds, and is in the 80% for height. She too is growing up so fast! She totally mimics her sister, and everyone else that gives her attention. She loves to dance, rip any kind of paper to small pieces, color on everything she can before she gets it taken away, swinging is her favorite, and so is her sister! But most of all she loves her dad, and cant seem to get enough of him. We too love her very much, and cant get enough of her fun personality.

My "Bobby"

These days, what doesn't she do? Just at the age of.... get into everything I'm not supposed to, but she is so much fun, and a little bully! Surprised? Hardly. She learns from the best, her older sister.

My BaBy ChEeRlEaDeR

At our game the other night, Rythymm was a little restless, (imagine that!) she had a couple chitto's and found herself a little bed of pom poms to lay on. I love this face!
